Job Summary

• Role Overview:
  We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join the team at John McElderry M&T Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of agricultural machinery and equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers' machinery operates efficiently and reliably, contributing to the overall success of our service department.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, and other equipment.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve problems to restore equipment to optimal working condition.

Customer Service:

• Deliver high-quality service that ensures customer satisfaction and builds long-term relationships.
• Clearly communicate with customers about the nature of repairs and maintenance required, offering professional advice and recommendations as needed.

Service Operations:

• Effectively manage your workload, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time and to the highest standard.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably within the agricultural machinery or automotive industry.
• Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Desirable:

• Relevant technical qualifications in machinery or automotive engineering.
• Experience with industry-specific software (e.g., service management systems).
