Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join the team at John McElderry M&T Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of agricultural machinery and equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers' machinery operates efficiently and reliably, contributing to the overall success of our service department.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, and other equipment.
- Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve problems to restore equipment to optimal working condition.
Customer Service:
- Deliver high-quality service that ensures customer satisfaction and builds long-term relationships.
- Clearly communicate with customers about the nature of repairs and maintenance required, offering professional advice and recommendations as needed.
Service Operations:
- Effectively manage your workload, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time and to the highest standard.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably within the agricultural machinery or automotive industry.
- Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Desirable:
- Relevant technical qualifications in machinery or automotive engineering.
